Of course I was talking about Peter Singer but not only Peter Singer, that kind of making a list and checking it twice, gonna find out who's snuffable or nice is all the rage in "ethics" and has been under the influence of Darwin and, before him, that even earlier Brit-atheist ersatz replacement for morality, utilitarianism. And there is absolutely no question that Singer's primary authority is Darwin, in his highly selective and so absurdly distorted version of the post-war St. Darwin.
I think, though, at least in Singer and the current crop of death-listers their prime directive has nothing to do with much of anything other than what will get another book published, another book tour and another lecture invite. Getting attention for themselves and promoting their career is the primary focus of their "ethics." I have nothing but contempt for them, especially Singer.
