Simps thinks Bobby Sherman and 1910 Fruitgum Company and The Archies are better musicians than Bley and Swallow. Does anyone need more proof that he knows nothing about music?
Zappa? You mean the most smug overrated asshole in the history of rock and pop? And the worst guitarist. Seriously, his entire style of six-string shredding sounded like a total putz -- which he was, and I know this from having interviewed him -- whose approach to the electric guitar was the equivalent of twanging a heavily amplified rubber band with the kind of pick you would have otherwise used to play surf music. God, he was awful. :-)
