NO MEDIA CORPORATION should ever be considered part of the "free press" if their owners have billions and billions, enough billions so they don't have to care about the quality and credibility and honesty of the media operations they buy up or - yeah, right, found themselves BECAUSE THEIR FINANCIAL AND IDEOLOGICAL INTERESTS ARE BOUND TO LEAD TO THEM FINANCING IDEOLOGICAL AND FINANCIALLY ADVANTAGEOUS LIES. AND SUPPRESSING UNPROFITABLE OR UNSATISFYING TRUTH.

It's something that is as true of Bezos and the Washington Post, Soon-Shiong and the LA Times, and just about all of the billioaire-millionire non-journalists who have bought out the legacy media.
I don't trust any media which is not owned by someone who has to care about the truth and honesty of the operation BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN WHAT THE BILLIONAIRE-MILLIONAIRE OWNERSHIP HAS LED TO.
Or the Ellisons, like Bezos with WaPo, will simply run CBS News into the ground. Whatever. I gave up on TeeVee News decades ago. Even the vaunted “60 Minutes” is never much more than a long Politico article (“long” for Politico, I mean). TV news has never been better than headlines: something easily viewed, giving you a pre-digested way to receive 30 minutes of bland information that keeps you comfortably uninformed.
