Why I've Sinned Against The Dogma Of Political Science - Hate Mail

Fascism and Nazism produce large numbers of people murdered by the government.
Marxism produces large numbers of people murdered by the government.

Fascism and Nazism imprison, torture and use terror against their political opponents to silence and stop their opposition.
Marxism imprisons, tortures, and uses terror against its political opponents to silence and stop their opposition.

Fascism and Nazis prevent democratic elections that risk electing those who oppose fascist and Nazi rule.
Marxism prevents democratic elections that risk electing those who oppose Marxist rule.

Fascism and Nazism impose control over the media to prevent them from telling the truth but don't prevent them from spreading lies approved by the rulers.
Marxism imposes control over the media to prevent them from telling the truth but don't prevent them from spreading lies approved of by the rulers.

Fascism and Nazism dominate economic activity for the benefit of the ruling elite, merely managing the ability of the underclass to continue to serve it.
Marxism dominates economic activity for the benefit of the ruling elite, merely managing the ability of the underclass to continue to serve it.

With the morphing of the Communist elite in the old Soviet Union into an ultra-capitalist form of fascism and the abandonment of the ruling Chinese Communists of socialism for a particularly hideous Victorian era capitalism as it were on steroids, the old lie that because communists mouthed some different economic theories than fascists and Nazis that made them the opposite of fascism is proved to have been entirely and cynically false.

Due to all of the above, it's clear that Marxism is not the polar opposite of fascism, it's just a variation on it.  Given the body counts of both, I'm not entirely convinced that Marxism might not be the most deadly form of it.

What is really the opposite of fascism, of all of these varieties of fascism,  is egalitarian democracy.  The only realistic measure of a government is how close to egalitarian democracy it is and how far it is from any form of fascism.
