Let Me Not Fall Into Temptation

I CONFESS THAT hearing about the terrible tornadoes in Kentucky my first thought was that it was the price they paid for letting the coal barons govern and to prevent us from addressing climate change for the past forty years.  The price for them inflicting Mitch McConnell on us.  And I don't think that that is an unreasonable thought to have.

But, then, my state provided Mitch McConnell and Republican-fascism the power to do what Kentucky did, as well, with the Republicans, both arguably pre-fascist and present day Republican-fascists such as Susan Collins and the retired Olympia Snowe.   The "moderate"-Republicans of Maine and elsewhere are as in on it as Kentucky's delegates to the Senate and House so if they got clobbered as justice for what they've done, I'm expecting terrible consequences for us too.

No state in the United States is innocent, none of us are.  The whirlwind that was sowed was sowed by us all.  Now that is is come, we have an obligation to those it hurt.  Our consequences are coming, soon.

Oh, horseshit. I'm not responsible for Trump's taking over and turning this country into a fascist shithole simply because you're feeling guilty.

    1. You never rode in a car, drove a car, turned on the heat in a fossil fuel heated apartment or building, you never used a product that was produced in a way that released greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, used a refrigerator that contributed gases to the damage to the atmosphere? You don't eat meat, among the more serious of biological contributors to global warming? I'd ask if you'd ever done something that produces methane but that's such an obvious yes that to ask it is absurd.

New York has certainly sent House and Senate members to DC who are part of the problem, it houses the mass media that carries the big lies of big oil and other extraction industries.

Barack Obama, while in office, bragged at how he had turned the US into a net exporter of carbon releasing fossil fuels, I voted for him twice as he caved to the extraction industries. My fucking state has Susan Collins in office, though I've been warning people that she was a lying fraud since before anyone in NY ever heard of the slag. And Olympia Snowe before her and others. None of us is innocent and until you face that you won't change your behavior. Though I don't suppose you ever will till you're cremated, your final contribution to global warming.

    2. Let me add, you never used air conditioner? Took a jet to go on those vacations you're always bragging about taking?

Few if any People in the United States, apart from a few Old Order Amish and the such have any claim to having a light carbon footprint on the Earth's atmosphere. KY may be more benighted due to their production of the shit, they aren't the end users of most of it. When the consequences come, we're all due to feel those.

You really need to learn how to read. The above comment has nothing to do with carbon fucking footprints.

    1. Stupy, I said," my first thought was that it was the price they paid for letting the coal barons govern and to prevent us from addressing climate change for the past forty years." It is that for which Kentucky is not exclusively guilty, the producers are guilty SO ARE ALL OF US THAT USE THE END PRODUCT, IT IS ALL A PART OF CREATING GLOBAL WARMING THAT CREATES THE EXTREME WEATHER THEY SUFFERED.

I know it's an idea a bit more involved than you having heard some groovy putz mouth on NYC TV in the 1960s or later and immediately adopting it as your own, um, "thought" and figuring you've done your part in upholding leftish grooviness - something the rump remnant of Eschaton are addicted to as the adults fled - but what I said is right there on the screen attached to this comment thread. You don't read because you don't think. That is endemic to the college-credentialed, secular left, top to bottom. And you're pretty near the bottom. Now, that's all the attention you get this week so go whine about it at Duncan's daycare for the pre and post demented.
