They'd Hang You In Iran

ELSEWHERE I HAD THAT argument made to me,  that as a Gay man I'd be hanged in Iran.  So, I take it the implicit argument in that is that the Israeli-American war on Iran is being done for the rights of LGBTQ+ People.  I think it was Vijay Prashad who answered the similar implication that the war against Iran and, by implication,  the genocide against the Palestinians was justified because Women were required to wear hijab.   He pointed out that those very Women were being killed by Israel in its genocide and would be murdered by Israel and the U.S. in an attack on Iran.

Prashad's criticism of the arrogance of those who claim the superiority of "Western civilization" when it is a major source of the racist violence in the world is certainly worthy of universal discussion but, of course, in the "free press" of the west such points will never be permitted more than the most marginal of dissemination and discussion, not even the kind of rigged Bill Maher - Piers Morgan style of pseudo discussion that even such forbidden ideas are given in the "civilized west."

A gay Iranian or Palestinian man who is murdered by an Israeli or American bomb or by an American soldier is as dead as a gay Iranian or Palestinian man murdered by the Iranian regime or under the rule of Hamas.   Only I'll bet that a lot more end up dead by the hand of "western civilization" than by the Islamic republic or under Hamas.

The Constitution is a menstruous rag, and the Union is sinking into a military monarchy to be rent asunder like the Empire of Alexander or the kingdomes of Epharim and Juidah

Washington Wednesday 19. February 1845

I read a series of 12 Letters printed in the Boston Atlas, addressed to me on the subject of the annexation of Texas to the United States; well written, though I know not by whom; well reasoned, and conclusive against the measure; but without avail; for it is now apparent that it will be consummated, and is written in the book of Fate— The only insurmountable objection against it, the perfidious robbery and dismemberment of Mexico is lost in the Anarchy and civil War into which precisely at this moment Mexico has fallen— She cannot maintain her own identity— She is falling to pieces, and if Texas were restored to her she could not hold it— The opposition is now confined to the mere mode of making the acquisition, and the question of power will be finally decided by the Will— The Constitution is a menstruous rag, and the Union is sinking into a military monarchy to be rent asunder like the Empire of Alexander or the kingdoms of Ephraim and Judah— At the house even while a quorum was forming, the question was taken on M’Kay’s motion to cease debate in Committee of the whole on the state of the Union, on the civil and diplomatic appropriation Bill, and take it out of Committee at 2. O’Clock to-morrow, and it was carried— Slidell then moved a reconsideration of the vote yesterday rejecting Pratt’s bill appropriating 20000, and 8000 dollars, for refurnishing, and repairing the Presidents house and outhouses and surrounding grounds whereupon the debate of yesterday was rekindled for another term of two hours or more—the vote was reconsidered—the bill redebated, and after abortive motions for the previous question, and to lay the bill on the table, it was again rejected by yeas and nays 75 to 77. many of the whigs not voting at-all.— The house then went into Committee of the whole on the state of the Union, Saunders in the Chair on the civil and diplomatic bill, which was debated till past 5. when the Committee rose, and the house adjourned.— As I was walking home, I met Mr Gilpin and Mr Bancroft, who turned and walked with me to my house and came in and sat down a few minutes. Gilpin was Van Buren’s attorney General, the last half year of his term. Bancroft was his collector at Boston— Three of the boys of the juvenile literary Society came this Evening and took their book.— At the house even while a quorum was forming, the question was taken on M’Kay’s motion to cease debate in Committee of the whole on the state of the Union, on the civil and diplomatic appropriation Bill, and take it out of Committee at 2. The diary of John Quincy Adams

If you use Google to find that quote by John Quincy Adams you may get the "AI" lie that he didn't say exactly what he said, as you can read.  And "AI" muffed the quote in the process, no doubt copying lying lawyers or other liars who also have lied about what he said,  "AI" being as stupid as any other mindless, brainless automaton or human invention of whatever complexity.   You know, like the Constitution is.   Here's what Google's equations produced:

John Quincy Adams did not call the Constitution a "menstruous rag." This phrase was used by him to describe the annexation of Texas, which he viewed as a morally reprehensible expansion of slavery. He believed the annexation, and the subsequent war with Mexico, were degrading to the Constitution. The quote, "It is, he wrote, 'a mere menstruous rag, and the Union is sinking into a military monarchy,'" reflects his strong opposition to these events and his concern about the direction the nation was taking. . .

I take it as plain that Adams realized what I said here the other day THAT THE CONSTITUTION IS EXACTLY WHAT IS PERMITTED TO HAPPEN UNDER IT WITHOUT THAT BEING STOPPED BY IT.   Like any human institution,  it isn't more than what those with the power to implement it or to distort it or to nullify it (as the U.S. Supreme Court regularly does) the words on paper are worth no more than that.

There has been no greater demonstration of the truth of John Quincy Adams' words than Trump attacking Iran on behalf of the Israeli-fascist regime and,  I will not stop pointing out,  the majority of Israelis who have kept them in power since the 1970s.    I strongly suspect that this is only going to get worse and the U.S. and the rest of the West which has had a part in this are going to pay dearly.

Don't be surprised in the denouement of this it turns out that the Trump-Kuschner crime family gets that big chunk of sea-side property in Gaza that Trump has been salivating over.  Trump NEVER does anything without there being a material, financial profit TO HIM in it and the Israeli regime is as corrupt as he is.   I is so easy for foreign dictators to corrupt him because he has been the most corrupt president in our history, AGAIN WITH THE SUPREME COURT OKing THAT AND EXTENDING IT.

In the comments here the other day,  I asked a question in response to the use of the Holocaust to justify the Zionist genocide against Palestinians,   how many Palestinians being slaughtered is justified by that crime that happened in Europe,  by Europeans more than four-score years ago.   I should have asked how many presently alive Germans would it be OK for Israel to kill, since it was the then German government which was responsible for the six-million Jews killed by it, something which Palestinians then or since had no hand in.   But, you see,  those stumbling to answer that would reveal a deeper truth of what that claim, as made by so many, explicitly like the idiots who troll me or implicitly by the like of the IHRA, really amounts to.

I think that's a question worth answering because if Israel had been killing WHITE GERMANS OR WHITE CITIZENS OF OTHER COUNTRIES IMPLICATED IN THE HOLOCAUST it would have been taken as a crime against humanity - CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY BEING QUITE OK WITH OUR ELITES SO LONG AS THEY ARE BROWN OR OTHERWISE PEOPLE OF COLOR.   That is the basis of why Israel has been allowed to commit the genocides and forced removals by murder, violence and terror that it has committed since before it declared itself a state.

The old debate over whether or not Zionism is rightly called a racist ideology is not honestly debatable because if, as some Arabs have pointed out,  under a just theory of the construction of the Zionists' state that should have come from the territory of those who committed genocide against them,  that would have been seen as obviously unacceptable, whereas putting it where Brown People would be those displaced, murdered and terrorized and robbed has been acceptable by the status quo of Western cultural practice.    But that sacrifice of white People is quite acceptable if it is the American or Canadian or European military class who are the marginal number of those who die for Israel,  so long as it's Brown People who they are used against.   YES, ZIONISM IS, LIKE EVERY OTHER EUROPEAN IMPERIALIST SCHEME, THOROUGHLY RACIST AND UTTERLY MORALLY CORRUPT.   And the Constitutions and bodies of law and politics of any country which participates in them is rightly held as discredited by that.   As can be seen that is something John Quincy Adams realized when Texas was being stolen by America's slave power in order to make sure that slavery would be the law of the land in the United States, as their Dred Scott decision, made under the Marbury usurpation of powers,  sought to extend slavery to the entire country,  fascist (slave) or free states included.

Hosea 8

8 Put a trumpet to your lips!

        It’s as if a bird of prey has flown over the Lord’s house,

    because they have broken my covenant,

        and have not kept my Instruction.

2 Israel cries to me,

        “My God, we know you!”

3 Israel has turned away from the good;

        the enemy will pursue him.

4 They set up kings, but not through me;

        they chose princes, but without my knowledge.

    With silver and gold they crafted idols

        for their own destruction.

5 Your calf is rejected, Samaria.

        My anger burns against them.

        How long will they remain guilty?

6 The calf is from Israel,

        a person made it;

        it is not God.

    The calf of Samaria will be smashed.

7 Because they sow the wind,

        they will get the whirlwind.

    Standing grain, but no fresh growth;

        it will yield no meal;

    if it were to yield,

        strangers would devour it.

8 Israel is swallowed up;

        among the nations, they are now

        like a useless jar.

9 They have gone up to Assyria,

        a wild ass wandering alone;

        Ephraim has hired lovers.

10 Though they have bargained with the nations,

        I will now gather them up.

    They will soon be diminished

        due to the burden of kings and princes.

11 When Ephraim added more altars to take away sin,

        they became altars to him for sinning.

12 Even though I write out for him a large number of my instructions,

        they are regarded as strange.

13 Though they offer choice sacrifices,

        though they eat flesh,

        the Lord doesn’t accept them.

    Now he will remember their wickedness

        and punish their sins;

        they will return to Egypt.

14 Israel has forgotten his maker,

        and built palaces;

    and Judah has multiplied walled cities;

        but I will send a fire upon his cities,

        and it will devour his fortresses.
