at Eschaton who got on your case over Ernie Kovacs' racist Nairobi Trio skit. I didn't even mention it till someone asked me what I thought about the hissy-fit you'd had over there about it. And even then I stuck it on my throw-away blog that I relegate you to when I feel cheap for mentioning you here.
I had to look up the cartoon band you brought up, I vaguely recall Lancelot Link because I was stuck babysitting a niece and nephew on Saturday morning and they were watching it. I think they were something like eight or seven at the time. No wonder you're so wowed by them.
Juvenile to senile, tumescent to senescent without any epoch of adulthood in between, you and Trump have that in common.
Oh, and I know the difference between a monkey and a chimpanzee. You clearly don't.
"Oh, and I know the difference between a monkey and a chimpanzee."
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So. . . . you don't.
Delete""Oh, and I know the difference between a monkey and a chimpanzee."
ReplyDeleteThus missing your own alleged point about racial stereotyping in the works of Ernie Kovacs. God, you never fail to delight, Sparky. 😎
Oh, be my guest. Clarify what you mean by that, Simps. You claimed that I'd be upset about you posting a video of a bunch of chimpanzees dressed up with instruments when I never mentioned it. I pointed out that it was your fellow Eschaton clique members who got emotive about that kind of imagry and that, as in this instance, I only commented on it after you claimed I'd get upset about it.
DeleteAnyone who can't see the casual racism of Ernie Kovacs' skit is at best insensitive to racist imagry. Probably because they're a wee bit racist, yourself.
So by your logic, Don Martin's National Gorilla Suit Day at Mad Magazine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gorilla_suit#National_Gorilla_Suit_Day is racist. As is anyone who observes it or thinks it's funny.
DeleteGod, you're immense stupidity and lack of humor is almost loveable..😎
That would be by your illogic. Needing to find out what you're talking about I had to look for it, I grew up from the stage of Mad Magazine and its . . . um.. . "artists" by 1971 so I'd never seen it. And apparently it wasn't in Mad Magazine but was in a collection of Martin's work which I'd never seen. According to the little off it that I saw, it was a spoof making fun of the greeting card industry, not about entertainers continuing minstrel themed racism well after WWII and into the Civil Rights era.
DeleteDon Martin's funnier than Lenny Bruce and Mort Saul, but it's not that funny.
