This week I find I'm in the mood to listen to works written in opposition to fascism.  Dallapiccola wrote the libretto based on the book Vol de Nuit by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. examining the violation of individual life and rights in favor of profit and industrial efficiency.  He managed to have it mounted in 1940 Fascist Italy, I wonder if a similar work composed in Trump America would be produced.  I doubt it would get on NPR or PBS, certainly not on the networks.
