And for more evidence of how a life on the play-left can leave you sounding like a teenage brat in your senior years.
And how the play-left is an inch away from the Trumpian fascists.
And that's not to mention the Youtube the Alex Jones channel has up of the same Busters, showing what willingly useful tools they are to the most deranged of fascists. I will not post an Alex Jones video, you'll have to look for it, yourself.
Well, "like a flea on a dog" is a pretty apt metaphor. Oddly enough.
ReplyDeleteI remember these people. They were going to end the war in Vietnam (which finally ended in '75, sometime after the anti-war marches had petered out, and almost no one was demonstrating on campuses anymore. I think Kent State was at the tail end of those demonstrations, and that was in '70.). They were going to get the vote at 18 and change the world. They were going to BE the revolution ("Age of Aquarius," anyone?), not just follow some politician (then again, we had Clean Gene, and McGovern).
Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it. This time around, is if farce, or tragedy? I honestly don't think it's important enough to be the latter, so....
Also interesting how many white people there are (and how few, period), and how little sense of true organization they have. MLK organized people; Malcolm X organized people; the Black Panthers organized people. These people couldn't organize a two-car funeral.
This is the end result of Occupy Wall Street: nobody in that "movement" had the first clue how to organize people and create a movement. The anti-war movement was organized.
This "movement" is just a bunch of cranks.
I recently got into an argument with a "Bernie" or Buster who claimed that Nixon ended the war in Vietnam, a frequently repeated delusion of these guys.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, after seeing how people like Jeff Cohen and Norman Solomon are part of this and how quick they have been to pooh-pooh any Putin government involvement in trying to ratfuck the Democratic chance in the election, I have to wonder where they get their funding. It is remarkable how in-step the play-left has been with the Trump campaign and how in-step the Trump campaign has been with the Putin government. It's not dispositive but it is certainly suggestive. After all, they used to pooh-pooh Soviet funding of the Communist Party here only to find out there were direct payments and the leadership of the CP were, actually, getting money from Putin's former bosses, even as that was denied. Apparently they've got Gus Hall's signature on a check. And now Putin is supporting fascists in Europe and, here.
These guys are pudding-headed dupes.
Many on Salon pooh-pooh concerns about Putin as Cold War paranoia.
DeleteIgnorant children.
I know it's Politico but it was, actually, a researched article. I found it interesting, The Fall of Salon
