Hate Mail - Simps Got Stuck In The 60s, I Moved On And Grew Up

Stupy never gets me right, he can't, he doesn't understand the written form of language, his attempt to use Dalton Trumbo that backfired on him last week proves that.  I've never used "man" as a locutionary interjection.  To start with it sounds stupid,  Furthermore, it assumes only males are worthy of address.

I have, rarely, used the word "sonny" or "sonny-boy" or "kid" when I want to insult someone who is acting immature but that's a different matter.   I'm more apt to say  "Bunky" these days.  When it's Stupy I just say "Stupy" or "Simps".

Escahton turned into a blog where the ambient comment community which refers to Duncan Black as "Dad" (serious daddy issues, there) must run from, I'd guess, fifteen to twenty years older than he is, all of them seem to be stuck in the mindset of jr. high or high school.  And I don't mean the kind of kids who grew up.   The adults left long ago.  I stayed longer than I should have but I used it for researching my theme of how the left loses when it shouldn't.  It's a Whitman's Sampler of loosing ideas that so many on the play left have been guzzling for decades, now.  It's a good place to look for what not to do.   I think I've learned everything there is to from it.  Perhaps I won't mention it in the coming year.  Resolutions, make them often enough, maybe you'll finally keep one.

Writes the worst writer of our time.

    1. You're the one who posted the quote by Dalton Trumbo without understanding that it was a plain as the words on the screen claim that Christianity had overturned the tyranny of pagan Rome. I saw it as soon as I read it, you, claiming to adore its beauty and to make claims for its intellectual content, totally missed what he was saying. But, then, I'm used to your reading deficiency, having years ago suggesting you buy one of those old SRA reading kits and go through it, starting with the lowest color category and working your way up. That is if you live long enough to get out of the bottom one.

  2. I was making any entirely different point, you hick nitwit, which is that the quote was gorgeously written but you wouldn't care because Trumbo was a Red. Which of course you missed because you're the densest motherfucker on the planet, as well as the worst writer of our time. :-)

    1. How do you know what I thought of it as I don't believe I ever commented on it before? Oh, yeah, I forget, you don't need something to be true, you just make it up and the idiots of Eschaton suck it up.

Trumbo was a Stalinist for about as long as he could remain one and be chic. I don't see that as being in any way different from being a Nazi. Of course, you, like those dear old commies of Victor Navasky style lore, didn't care about the tens of millions of people Stalin murdered, including writers, including directors and actors and Jewish poets and Jewish doctors and Jews without any kind of artistic or professional distinction, not to mention the Ukranians he murdered - some estimates of 7 million+ - before Hitler was murdering much of anyone but his political opponents in the Nazi party and a few Catholics.

I thought the passage you quoted was gaudy and stagy. Howard Fast's novel contains much better writing than I ever remember Trumbo producing. It's far deeper than the movie but, and this is everything to you, not as easily consumed. I never was a big fan of gladiator movies, never went for the beefcake type. They so often were meatheads. Does your girlfriend find it kinky that you liked them?

  3. You do know that Fast was a commie as well, right?

BTW, I read SPARTACUS as a kid. It's not particularly better written than any other pop novel of its day. Think Herman Wouk with gladiators.

    1. Of course I did, he was one of the ones who went to jail, if I recall correctly. Yeah, right, you read the novel.

I'm not really interested in discussing Herman Wouk, I'd rather do something interesting than discussing antique war novels with someone who only saw the movies.

Oh, probably based on every last bit of drivel you've previously posted here or at Eschaton. You're nothing if not predictable, Sparkles.

    1. That was the first time I ever said anything about the movie Spartacus. Unlike you, I never much cared for gladiator movies. Do you have a loincloth in the same closet with your Poldark breeches? Do you put them on for . . . Wait, I don't want that image in my mind.
