LEVEL BILLIONAIRES OUT OF EXISTENCE
I’m having ‘60’s flashbacks. J. Edgar is not dead. (To which I must add J. Edgar shows up in “The Man In The High Castle,” the TV version (I caught up on Netflix) as a toady serving the Nazis ruling half of America. He’s a lamprey on the Nazi shark, serving whoever has the whip hand, until he finds himself on the wrong side of the coup (having spied on its successful head), and is killed for his actions. You almost wish real life was like that. I mean, the real Hoover was that bad.) Tge worst aspects of American culture never die; from time to time they just scurry into the woodwork, and come back out again to infest the house. The worst part is how we lie to ourselves rather than face the cockroaches.
It was very odd for me to find out about Andrew McCabe because he was an FBI guy who I genuinely found admirable. Hearing him with Alison Gill on her podcast, he seems like the real deal to me. I can't say that there have been many FBI who I could say that about. I don't trust them at all.
