Too short.  I have always had a lot of respect for Dusty Springfield's singing and Mel Torme was one of my favorite jazz singers, I only wish she'd done more in that field because she could have been great at it.

Here's Mel Torme showing off brilliantly.

Fascinating Rhythm

    1. I suppose you figure that only a person from the lesser greater New York City area could have any true and real appreciation for Dusty Springfield, don't you. As I have been reminded by you, though I learned it long ago, there are none more provincially unaware than those who have lived their whole lives in the greater-lesser NYC area and who figure it is the hub of the universe.

    1. Oooh, you twigged onto that limb I waved at you. As if everyone who knew her didn't know she was from England, though she was an O'Brien, don't know if she considered herself a Brit. I wouldn't if I didn't have to. But, more to the point, SHE wasn't the one I said was a provincial twit.

    2. Almost all her hit records were written by Americans, you hick shithead. You know nothing about her and understand less.

    3. I'd have to see a comprehensive list of those songs she sang which were "hits" which I'm sure you didn't consult to come up with your claim. However, the lesser greater NYC area isn't America, I'm American. I'm not the one who implied that someone from outside of that largely self-over-rated locus could not possibly appreciate Dusty Springfield when she hardly got her start or even her big chance there. I am sure there are those in NYC who could appreciate her abilities and use of her spectacular voice, unlike you I'm not a parochial provincial chauvinist Scheisskopf.
Your retorts grow ever lesser as your teeth grow ever longer.
