I decided to post this because after two decades of putting up with it, this comment gave me an insight into your pathology. You literally can't believe that anything, anything at all in the world and human history can NOT BE ABOUT YOU. So you mistake your own personal mental condition on everyone else. Thus you attribute your own style of thinking to everyone else. Perhaps the difference between us explains why it took me so long to really believe that that's about all there is to you.
What this letter from Einstein is is evidence that even in the decades before the self-declaration of Israel's existence as a state, those who were as positively disposed to the zionism that was merely the settlement of European Jews in Palestine, not necessarily with the mainline project of a "Jewish" state which would inevitably be an ethno-state, excluding and displacing the native Palestinian population, Zionists who Einstein knew were there would lead to the ""real and final catastrophe" that we are now seeing, not only for the Palestinian People who the state of Israel is mounting a genocide against but also for Israelis who have made their state a pariah state with increasing opposition to it except from the world elites who hardly have the interests of Jewish Israelis as a reason for supporting the genocidal apartheid state. Do you really think that those fascists in the West and, it should never be forgotten IN THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT supported the South African apartheid government because they cared about the ultimate welfare of the Afrikanners and Brits who lorded it over Black and Brown People there? Oh, I forget, I'm trying to talk to you as a normal person of some moral awareness of someone other than yourself. He wasn't, so far as I'm aware of, aware of the role that the worst of "Christian" dispensationalist evangelical" Zionists are playing in this, some of the biggest, fattest, loudest, most influential supporters of your ideology, "Israel right or wrong." It is one of the things I learned from Rabbi Y. Shapiro, that Zionism started as an project of such "Christians" to bring about their interpretation of the events in "Revelation" to make their comic book notion of the Second Coming happen and Jews either converted to their cult or wiped out in a cataclysmic eschaton. Well, it's none of my business who you make common cause with, no more than you force it to be my business. The historical fact is that anti-semitic "Christian" Zionism was a thing before Zionist-Zionism was a thing and the Zionists, From Herzl right down to Netanyahu have shared in the classic anti-semitism of those "Christian" enthusiasts for sending all the Jews to Palestine. I've just started looking into the objection of the only Jewish member of the British Cabinet, Montague, to the anti-semite Balfour's proposal to partition Palestine for a "Jewish state". Something else I learned of from Rabbi Shapiro's brilliant scholarship on the issue. He really is a fine scholar and historian of the issue and one of the more important voices in opposition to Zionism. I choose to learn from the best I can find.

That monster and his regime have been kept in power by the majority of Israeli voters for longer than anyone else has been though the others have hardly been that much better. The People of Israel, by an enormous percent, support the genocide and Lebensraum of the government, they staff the genocidal military, the majority of Israelis would put someone as bad as he is in power even if they dumped him and his coalition. There are Israelis who have never supported the genocide and who I wouldn't blame for what has happened, though there are some who would hold that every Israeli is complicit as a majority of Israelis poll hold everyone in Gaza is to blame for Oct. 7th but unlike fascists, I don't hold with group culpability. Israel is a fascist country under an apartheid ethno-deocratic scheme of government. Of course, none of it at all could happen without the support of non-Israeli Zionists, gentile and Jewish who have supported it through decades of building up to the disaster that Einstein was foresighted enough to see coming. It was the pseudo-socialist, Ben Gurion who he turned down when he offered him the presidency of that colonial project, not the faction that has ruled it pretty much most of the last fifty years, the majority of its existence. Ben Guiron wasn't much less of a monster, neither were any or the rest of the leaders of that country.
So don't say because you whine that you hate Netanyahu that you aren't as complicit in this genocide as the anti-semitic Hallelujah peddlers of the Schofield Bible brigade.
